"My car was hit at a dinner party by another guest's car, completely Saturday Night Live level comedy.  He had to pay for it, and his insurance covered it.

My usual mechanic recommended Degrazia's, so I took it there to get an estimate to send to the other guy.  I also got another quote from another body shop, just for comparison.

The people at Degrazia's were obviously more thorough.  Besides looking at the surface damage, they went under the car to make sure that everything was in order.  I went with them ultimately, and State Farm was quick-ish to settle everything.  The damage was around $3k.

Degrazia's helped me with the rental car (WA state mandates that the insurance company provides a rental), took care of everything with the insurance company and my only lost time to the ordeal was about 3 hours max.  They were responsible, communicative with progress and were always on MY side when the adjuster tried to make the bill smaller.  No, they insisted, and the car got fixed.

The work is impeccable.  The car looks like new, the paint blending was accurate and there was no over-spray whatsoever.  They even vacuumed the whole car, cleaned the interior, polished, washed it, and dressed the tires before returning it to me.  It looks even better than before it was hit.

Normally I have very low expectation with any auto related service, but DeGrazia's people made sure everything was done right, on-time, on-budget and that the impact on my life was at a minimal.

What a breath of fresh air in the auto-service industry.  I highly recommend them.
